Attack Kitten up for Adoption

This was on craigslist.

Data: 2008-06-02, 7:10PM CDT

 Ferocious attack kitten is available for adoption to any home
willing to accept him.

 This destructive kitty has been trained as a proud warrior and will
fiercely defend your house, even against you. Well-trained since 10-
weeks of age to attack anything in his presence, he will protect your
family from evil things, including the following:

 * insects

 * other trained attack kittens

 * babies

 * toilet paper

 * anything under a blanket

 * unwanted house guests
 * paper bags

 * floor rugs

 * Chuck Norris

 * Feet.

 Great with children (assuming you don't like the children).
Probably best used for professional catfighting. He is housebroken,
but only because he wants to be. This attack cat has trained himself
to seek out his food anywhere you hide it and rip the bag open to
feed himself, great for those who travel extensively. Also trained to
drink water out of toilet bowls and dishwater from items in the sink.
Knows how to open some doors. He will find you wherever you hide.

 Neutered (trust me, you wont want to him to procreate). Has not
been declawed, but you'll figure that out really fast.

 Understands and responds to a variety of vulgar and profane verbal
commands. Has a very soft and furry belly, like a teddy bear -
however he will bite your face if you try to touch it.

 Willing to accept trades. Potential adopters must have experience
with trained attack-kittens... please be prepared to show scars.

 For the love of God, someone please take this thing out of my house.
I have received my first witchcraft spam email. I'm still laughing.

Date: Sat, 29 Mar 2008 12:36:17 -0500
Subject: Old Witchcraft Secrets - make your wildest dreams come true
From: "Old Witchcraft Secrets"

"Old Witchcraft Secrets" will show you in detail, how you can cast powerful spells.
Make your wildest dreams come true.
It's NOT your fault that your spells and rituals aren't turning out like you want...
Yep, I'm feeling like her. Looking to brew a little brew and get what I want. I did some work last night, so that has been put into motion. Somethine about that fullmoon calling.

I've been re-visiting some old stuff of late. That is another way of saying I'm cleaning up the basement where Matt's dogs destroyed some of my stuff. They tore into boxes and now there is papers all over the place. Some were important and some not. The thing was being a Cancer they hold memories. SOme of those memories had to be thrown away because the dog peed on them. Luckily there were photos that were in plastic that the hellhounds didn't get to. I found some important stuff too which is always good. I've gotten about half of that room cleaned up.

Spent a couple of nights with those old fears. The ones that turn themselves into serial killers in your dreams.

Work is slow, really slow. However there is a silver lining on that cloud. People just haven't quite realized this is the time to buy. There are a lot of houses on the market, I mean really just choose one. Call me and I'll help ya.

Today I woke up with a hurt boob, I don't even know how. One of the glands is swollen and it's sore.

Then I'm still happily in love. He is just the sweeetest man. Not that he can't be annoying though. *grins* Like when we discuss something and he makes me think. Ok, it's really not annoying.

I guess that's about all for now.

The Day it Happened

I was waiting on the call. Earlier that night I was IMing with Chuck and I told him that it was the first time I’d felt death around my dad. Guy, my brother, had stayed with mom on that night. Mom didn’t want Gay, my sister; there because she knew Gay couldn’t handle it. I guess it was clear that I didn’t really want to be there.

So there I was asleep when my phone rang. For a moment I considered whether to answer it or not. If I didn’t answer then it wouldn’t be real. Dad would be alive, well as alive as he was earlier. Against my better judgment I did answer the phone. It was Guy and he said Dad. All I could muster was yeah. I told him I’d call Gay knowing he didn’t want to do it. None of us did. She is fragile at this time and none of us wanted to break her further. I sent a text message to Michael, my youngest son, as he was staying at his dad’s, against my will. Knowing dad was dying I thought he should stay here. I sent Matt, my oldest son, a text message even though he was upstairs. Now I thought I could call Gay. Her phone had rang like mine. I know she was debating answering as she didn’t want to hear the news either. There wasn’t much conversation between us. I mean how else can you say daddy died and it not hurt? Then I called Chuck to tell him. He had left only a day before but he told me to call him and he’d come back to help me. At this point I started getting ready. It didn’t take long and I think I talked to myself the whole time. We all piled in Gay’s car and Matt drove us. Gay was taking her medicine like it was candy, with it not helping a whole lot. I sat in the back just thinking. Really I didn’t know what to think. We talked some but mostly it was quiet. My phone rang and it was Guy again. He asked if we wanted to see dad before they took him. My mind screamed out no but I asked Gay and she said yes. So Guy said hurry. We got there and the hospice nurses were there. They had been good with dad. He enjoyed bantering with them. We walked in and Guy met us at the door. Mom and the nurses were just inside in the living room. I tried to avoid “the bedroom”. That’s where dad’s body was. They took Gay in there as she really wanted to say good bye. I’d said my goodbye on the way up. Who wanted to remember their dad that way, I was thinking to myself. Then mom came over and said do you want to see him? I tried to say no but she kind of gave me a push towards the room. The nurses were there keeping an eye on Gay who was breaking. I stood there thinking that’s not dad. It really looked nothing like the man I’d known all my life. He wasn’t even there. So I walked back out and went to get some coffee. Then mom, Guy, the nurses and I stood in the kitchen talking about dad. We tried to stay positive and talk about the funny things he had done since hospice had started working with him. It was just over two years that these same nurses first came to see him. They were all amazed that he had lasted that long. He was a topic at every meeting. The doctor couldn’t believe that he went as long as he did without pain medicine. We laughingly told the nurses that we wanted to keep the marinal pills, aka pot pills according to dad.

Gay was outside so I went out and just held her. Sometimes words just aren’t needed. It didn’t take too long before she started crying about him being gone. She was crying those body wracking tears. I tried to remind her of our beliefs but she wasn’t having any rational thought to stop her from grieving. The nurses were really worried about her. Then the nurses motioned for me to take her else where cause the funeral home was almost there. I took her out back and tried to get her to take a walk but no, she wasn’t having that. Mom came and sat with us some but it really bothered mom that Gay was grieving so hard. Guy was noticeable absent from this as he was trying to maintain to help mom. I was maintaining to help whoever needed it. They came and took daddy’s body away and that was only the beginning.

Everything calmed down a little more as Gay’s pills started kicking in and she became a zombie. We were all sitting around the table trying to get things going. Somehow I got volunteered to make the calls. Most everyone I called didn’t need to hear more than this is Georgia. They all knew, even dad’s old friends knew. After those calls I told them I was getting a complex and felt like the reaper as everyone knew when I said my name what I had called about.

A couple of days earlier we, the family, discussed the funeral and all. I had asked about a police escort but mom wouldn’t really tell me one way or the other. So here I was only a few hours after dad passing calling to try and set it up. The guys were great that I talked with. Only one of them had never met dad. All the others were helpful if not a little shocked with the news of dad. I was being told that they couldn’t go outside the county but that they’d meet us at the county line to take us to the cemetery. I think mom was a bit disappointed and I was in sensed. I mean dad had 20 years with these people and that’s all they could mustard? Checking was done at the police department and luckily the new Chief was an old friend of dad’s. Chief George Hatfield, aka gorgeous George. He was cute but I’d never have called him gorgeous. But George came through. We got to the funeral home and there were 6 motorcycle units and 3 police cars. Mom was so pleased. The funeral people were very surprised at the police presence. Later we heard that people were coming in to ask who had died to have such a police escort, everyone thought it had to be a dignitary.

Chuck had made it and ridden up with Gay, and me. We met up at the house and then headed over to the funeral home. Dad didn’t want any kind of funeral, no singing, or flowers or anything like that. So we sat for a moment with him and then off we went.

The ride down was quite remarkable. Dad would have been very proud all it all. We were hauling some serious butt traveling down Hwy 411. The local police had traffic lights blocked off. Our escort moved everyone out of our way. I sat quietly with Chuck and mom was with Gay trying to keep her calm. The ride down I had so many things running through my head. I watch the hearse ahead of us and I could see the lights from the police vehicles flashing inside of it. It looked like a black hole in there; the hole ate up the light that entered. I hated the hearse. I had forgotten how pretty some places on 411 were. I watched as different motorcycle officers forced people unto the shoulder of the roads, making them show they respect you should to a funeral precession. Then we hit I-75 southbound. We were cruising at around 80mph when we got rolling. The police again forced people to back off and stay behind us. You’d think at 80mph people would be worried about so many police around. The closer we got the more traffic and the more work the officers had to do. They did it too. Every time someone would try to ease ahead the police would get in front of them and slow them up until they were behind us. I was texting with the boys to let them know where we were. They were helping with other things. Guy and Susan went ahead to make sure things were done. Funny enough with the speed our escorts had us going we beat everyone there. So things were still done. They carried dad’s casket in and placed his flag over it. Not only was dad retired from the police but he had served 20 years in the Navy, including his reserve time. There was a really good meet and greet going on. Many people I hadn’t seen in years where there. Several police showed up. Dad was a quick burial so there was only 24 hours to get people together. Many of the police didn’t get the message until late and were unable to attend. Of course some family couldn’t make it because of either illness or not in town or unable to get off work. Some family later said they didn’t hear about it. Funny how that grapevine sometimes breaks. After the service we headed back to mom and dad’s house. It was just us, just the family. We had food of course but nothing that any of us had cooked. It was great though. We sat and talked about a little of everything. At the end of the day we were all exhausted. All I could think of was mom being in the house by herself. Would she be happy for the break? The break from the suffering she had watched in dad’s last days? The break from all of the chattering. Or would the silence be painful.

.. time to calm down and think about it I'll tell ya what was ruffling my feathers.

Back in the early part of December I got a lead on a lady looking to buy a horse farm. Well, now those of you who know me know that horses are a passion of mine. So needless to say I was excited at the prospect of being involved with finding her the perfect place. She had told me that she wouldn't be ready to do anything until after the first of the year. So I started looking around to see what was out there. I sent her information on the places that were possibilities. I wasn't getting feed back as often as I liked but I figured she was busy like she said. She updated me on what she was looking for so my search changed. I got an email the other day letting me know that she was in looking mode BUT that she had a manager for the horse farm who's mother is a real estate agent also so they were going with her. Now I had been thinking all this time she was going to go through me. I didn't push her because I hate being pushed. She also told me that she had intended to go with this other lady the whole time, not in so many words though. Well it just pissed me right off. She could have told me that in the beginning and I would have just said well good luck and I hope you find the right place.

You know how they say things happen for a reason? Well we'll see what happens here.

So here I am looking for someone to help in finding their perfect place to live.

Christmas has come and gone. It was good really but when money is tight I seem to feel like I wished I could have given more. I never feel like I've given enough no matter what. Michael was hard to buy for as usual. He never wants anything. Matt on the other hand always wants something. lol The boys were very generous to me. Chuck was wonderful. He is one of those people who gives a gift from his heart. It isn't something he bought that he hopes you'll like, he gives you something that means a lot to him. I think it's wonderful to be able to do that.

We went to visit Mom on Christmas Eve day. We had a nice meal and then presents. The visit was really great. I think Mom really enjoyed it. Then we went back up yesterday as My Aunt Dot, Cousin Maria and her husband Mark came to visit. I haven't seen Maria in 8 or more years. I had never met her husband, he was really funny and nice. It was good catching up with them. Maria told us about her breast cancer and the surgery. It was really interesting as it was pre-cancerous but insurance didn't want to pay for anything unless it was rated as cancer. I mean how stupid is that? So the doctors rated it as cancer stage 0. So insurnace paid for it. *rolls eyes*

I enjoyed this season well enough. Didn't really do anything for Yule but I did enjoy the full moon.

Yesterday before we went to mom's we had a funny incident. Joey (one of my Jack Russells) was all happy after coming back inside from a outside potty trip. He came over to the sofa and I said what makes you think I want you up here? his little tail was just wagging. So up he jumped unto the sofa. From the chair close to the sofa leaps Marvin (the cat). He jumped in the middle of Joey's back with his claws out and bit Joey on the head! Joey got all bent out of shape and snapped and growled like a wolf at Marvin. Marvin wasn't impressed. So Marvin was sitting on the floor staring Joey down and Joey was standing on th sofa next to me just growling. So Joey decides the best action is no eye contact. That didn't work cause Marvin thought it was a sucky idea and was staring Jeoy down. Every time Joey would look Marvin would be staring. Joey would start growing again and look away. This went on for a couple of minutes and then Marvin jumped up on the other end of the sofa and got all Rambo Cat. His pupils were dilated, his ears our to the side and his head kept tilting slightly. I just knew he was going to attack Joey. Well, Joey decided the best thing to do was leave. lol So Marvin won and was happy with that.

Pixie sent me this link and it got me all pissed off.

You know I have to wonder why people do these kinds of things. Then to read that one of the members of Fathers 4 Justice did this really made me wonder. I mean does this guy think that vandalizing history will change father's rights? What an ass he is. I hope he rots in hell. What did he gain by doing this other than give the organization a bad name. If I lived over there and they were out trying to get donations I would tell them flatly hell no. Then I'd tell them why. They should be made to pay for restoration of the Tor and the damage done.

Yeah stupid crap like this just pisses me off. I don't get any vandalizism though.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/em/fr/-/2/hi/uk_news/england/somerset/7022154.stm
